England’s Economic Heartland is the sub-national transport body for the region that stretches from Swindon across to Cambridgeshire and from Northamptonshire down to Hertfordshire. As a strategic partnership of local authorities, EEH provides leadership on strategic transport, and wider strategic infrastructure.

Our region is a national priority for the government and our work plays a key role in supporting the Oxford-Cambridge Arc initiative.

Title: Transport Strategy Project Officer

Salary: £30,298 - £40,452

Contract type: Permanent

Working hours: Full Time

As Project Officer, the role is responsible for supporting and managing projects within EEH’s work programme that are delivering the overarching EEH transport strategy.

The role will support delivery of projects that require close working with operators, local partners, planning authorities and other key delivery teams.

The role is part of a team that is committed to planning a transport network that is truly integrated and responsive so that it can rise to the growing demands and future expectations.

Additionally, the role will ensure decisions are backed up, by a regional evidence base that underpins the strategy.  The role will therefore be responsible for supporting the on-going development of the regional evidence base and for ensuring that local partners have access to the regional evidence base.
